US and Canadian bridal attire chain "David’s Bridal" is set to debut in the UK this year. With aggressive campaign to secure support with other agencies, David’s Bridal will indeed change the wedding scenery if they are successful. The UK is composed of smaller boutiques and salons with a more personalized approach for budding brides across seas. But, with the arrival of David’s Bridal, who confidently states they serve one in three brides and has expanded to over 300 stores in the US and Canada alone, the luxury of smaller boutiques might fall into the past.
While some bride-to-be's might be excited for the idea of having an affordable retail chain in their midst, others might feel burdened with the thought of impersonal, mass ordered dresses and somewhat generic wedding favors taking a spot in their once individualized communities.
It seems the retail chain has already begun their expansion via the World Wide Web, allowing international customers the ability to access some of their services and items online and have them delivered.
Still, David’s Bridal will continue forth with their expansion regardless, we only hope that their presence doesn't transform the bridal backdrop of the UK too much.
